Welcome to the Internet Home of The Wheels of Time SRA!

The WOTSRA was started in 1977 in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania by a small group of street rodders that had been "Hot Rodders" back in the years when that term was used. They felt there was a need for an organization to promote Street Rodding in the Lehigh Valley.

They started small, meeting in garages of members and gaining members as time went on. The 3 day Rod & Custom Jamboree (with over 2200 of the finest modified cars on the East Coast) that takes place each August in Macungie Memorial Park was originally a one day "Run To The Grove" in Alburtis, PA. It has grown over the years to the fantastic show it is today. The club's membership has grown accordingly. Our membership is over 100 men and women, all with the same ideals and interests. These ideals are the promotion and development of "Street Rodding" activities in the Lehigh Valley area and beyond. Through our efforts we help encourage the development of Street Rodding and encourage safe and organized Street Rodding wherever we go. Through this event WOTSRA helps many local charities and also helps local Vo-Tech students with scholarships to continue their education in the automotive field. Click on the "Jamboree" button for more information.

The Wheels of Time Street Rod Association is now open to members with modified cars up to and including the year 1963. As of this year we have made a change so the cut off year for membership is not 1948 as was in prior years.A membership applicant must have a pre 1964 car that either on the road or under construction and must be on the road within 5 years of application. All cars must be modified as per our 100 point criteria. This criteria is available on the Jamboree page of this web site.
We are welcoming new members.

2010 Rod and Custom Jamboree Update
FEBRUARY 2010

Planning for our upcoming event is in full swing and we are excited to announce that Sam Memmolo, a pioneer in TV automotive programming, will be our guest on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If you don’t remember the name, you will remember “Shadetree Mechanic”, “Crank and Chrome” and “Two Guys Garage”.

Sam wrote and co-hosted “Shadetree Mechanic” for 8 years with his pal Dave Bowman, followed by “Crank and Chrome” for 2 years. Next, Sam was Executive Producer and host of “Two Guys Garage” for 8 years and is still in production today.

Sam’s popularity stems from his 45 years of hands on experience and knowledge and his audience includes “do it yourselvers”, “hood lifters”, investors, and professional people in the automotive field.

Sam and his wife, Diana, will be on hand all weekend to welcome and talk to participants and spectators along with enjoying the display of vehicles on the grounds and other events. In addition, Sam has offered to hold tech sessions similar to those presented at SEMA and NHRA events. These sessions will be held at our Rod Repair area and will be equipped with bleachers for your comfort.

We are looking forward to a great weekend and extend our sincere appreciation to Sam and his wife for their support to our event and charitable fund raising effort. For more information about Sam, go to shadetreemechanic.com.

For all you music lovers out there, the bands are booked for Friday and Saturday and will be on hand for your entertainment all day. Friday’s lineup includes “Molly Sings Country” and “ Ricky Smith & The Crush” during the day and “Left Edge Classics” at night. Saturday’s lineup includes “Smith Compound Band”, “Red Hill Ramblers” and “ Delco Nightingale” during the day and Flamin Dick and The Hot Rods at night. Actual schedule times will be posted at a later date.

Our event is shaping up to be one of the best shows ever. We encourage you to register early and tell your friends about our event. Our T-shirts have always been a hit and activities such as our bus tours on Friday, flea market, car corral, craft area, women’s world, MDA auction, valve cover racing, poker run, bingo, ladies workshops and kid’s games provide multiple opportunities for enjoyment. More fun in the works and I will keep you posted.

This year we will offer 4 different registration packages for those who do not want to pre-register:
